The Arctic Wolves spent the week in our media center learning how to use Fair Use in a classroom setting. They learned the similarities and differences among copyright, trademark and patent. Why is it important to give credit to the owner of intellectual property?
Using Edmodo as an online classroom environment, Ms. Hicks' students watched a tutorial about using avatar generators, cropped and saved their own images, then uploaded them to their Edmodo profiles.
Students learned about using online databases as a resource for their upcoming projects. They used the eWISE research process to Wonder, Investigate, Synthesize and Express information about the Aztec culture. They learned where to find MLA citations on NC WiseOwl resources, then share paraphrased information along with their citation with their class in Edmodo. We'll see you soon for the real deal, Arctic wolves!
