Our learning commons is a great spot for showing off our student work. Ms. Lauck, 7th Grade Social Studies teacher, was pleased with her recent student projects. The Action History Figure project combined research of a notable WWII political leader with hands-on reproduction of the leader's characteristics. The students used cereal boxes to cut a display out of the front, cover in plastic and added historically-accurate embellishments. The biography was attached to the rear of the box, and the "action figure" was created for the inside of the box. Most converted real dolls, but some students used shadow-box figures or even created them from clay!
Students enjoyed this creative project and we have the artifacts to prove it. Way to go, Tundra Wolves!
